Polythene plasterboard covers (sometimes referred to as plasterboard hoods) provide durable, waterproof protection for the packs of plasterboard and protect against exposure to all of the elements.

Industrial Polythene supplies plasterboard and powder covers in a range of sizes to suit your needs. All covers are available in plain or printed, and to fit all size boards. Our plasterboard covers are used by leading manufacturers of plasterboard, and also builders’ merchants in the distribution of those items. We offer a range of different thicknesses to suit individual requirements, and proactively offer 30% Post-Consumer Waste blends, as they are compliant with the Plastic Packaging tax.

What size plasterboard covers are available?

We supply custom manufactured plasterboard covers to each client's individual requirements. However, as a guide, plasterboard manufacturers and builders’ merchants generally order the following sizes from us:

1.8/6ft 1550/3100 x 2830
2.4/8ft 1550/3100 x 3800
2.7/9ft 1550/3100 x 4025
3.00/10ft 1550/3100 x 4350
1525/2675 x 1800. These covers are for the packs of plaster itself.

Our team have extensive knowledge of this industry and would be able to guide you with sizes, thickness and the right blend of film. We can also help with UVI if the film is being stored outside.

As a responsible provider of polythene and plastic products, we take our responsibility towards post consumer waste very seriously. As of 1st April, 2022, the UK plastic packaging tax came into force; a new tax on plastic packaging that has implications on the whole supply chain; from the manufacturer right through to the end customer.
